Box Score Misenheimer N.C. -- It was another home victory for the Pfeiffer women's basketball team as they improved to 9-0 at home with a 73-57 win over Salem. With the win, the Falcons (14-3) continued thier undefeated streak inside Merner Gym while also recording their 14th victory on the season. Sydni Bickford and Grayson Harris led the way for Pfeiffer with 13 points each. Bickford hit 4 three pointers while Harris collected 10 rebounds to record a double-double.
Dajea Scott came through with a solid performance, scoring 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Freshman A'Mya McClain got in on the action as well, as she put up 8 points in 21 minutes.
Pfeiffer's defense came to play as they forced the Spirits into 27 turnovers on the night and converted those turnovers into 24 points. The Falcons dominated in the paint as well, outscoring Salem 38-20 on the contest. Pfeiffer's bench was another big key to the victory, outscoring the Spirits' bench 22-5.
For Salem, leading scorer Sabrina Shepherd matched her season average with 20 points for the game. Shepherd also recorded 13 rebounds. Tyler Davenport also played a big role for the Spirits, scoring 15 points.
Up next for Pfeiffer is another home matchup, as they play host to Meredith this Saturday. The Falcons will look to improve to 10-0 at home, with tip off scheduled for 2:00 inside Merner Gym.
