Box Score Brevard, N.C. -- The Pfeiffer women's basketball team (20-4) dropped just their fourth game of the season in their regular season finale as Brevard took home the win 79-68. Senior point guard Dajea Scott scored a career high 23 points with 5 rebounds and 3 assists for the game.
The Tornadoes got off to a hot start, as they outscored the Falcons 18-14 in the first quarter and 16-7 in the second. Pfeiffer had won two straight against Brevard going in to today's matchup. Kelsie Rhyne was the high scorer for the Tornadoes, putting up 21 points on 4-9 shooting. She also went 11-14 from the charity stripe.
Junior Sydni Bickford tacked on 16 points for the Falcons, going 5-9 from the floor, including 2-4 from behind the arc. Shalonda Wilkins and Kayla Whitworth each scored 10 points off the bench. Whitworth came down with 10 rebounds to collect her 2nd double-double of the year.
Pfeiffer won the turnover battle on the game, forcing Brevard in to 19 turnovers and converting those in to 10 points. The Falcons also won the points in the paint battle 28-24. The Tornadoes out-rebounded Pfeiffer 49-35 on the contest.
For Brevard, Jade Napier scored 16 points on the afternoon, while Ty'She Washington put in 13 points and 5 boards.
