Box Score Pfeiffer Baseball Gets 9-5 Win Over LaGrange
LaGrange, Ga. (April 6, 2019) –The Pfeiffer University baseball team scored five runs in the fourth inning en route to a 9-5 win over LaGrange College on Saturday afternoon in LaGrange, Ga.

THE BASICS
After spotting the Panthers a 1-0 lead in the first inning, the Pfeiffer offense plated five runs in the fourth inning to take the 5-1 lead.
In the frame, Pfeiffer collected three-consecutive singles from Bryce Marsh, Chaston Gordon and Kirby Lambert, loading the bases with no outs. Following a Blake Winebarger fly out, Ira Dorin delivered an RBI single, scoring Marsh from third. Bryan Kowalski then blew the game open, as he lifted a grand slam, his third round-tripper of the season.
Pfeiffer added two more runs in the sixth to take the 7-1 lead. This time, Dorin had an RBI single while teammate Kyler Fairchild contributed with an RBI sacrifice fly.
LaGrange cut the Pfeiffer lead to 7-3 in the eighth, but the Falcons got two more in the top of the ninth on a Chaston Gordon RBI single, followed by another RBI single from Dorin, pushing the Falcon cushion to 9-3.
LaGrange did scratch across two runs in the ninth on five hits, but reliever Dalton Binkley was able to secure the final out for forcing a fly out, sending the Falcons to the 9-5 win.
