Box Score William Peace Takes 118-91 Win Over Pfeiffer Men's Basketball
Raleigh, N.C. (Feb. 5, 2020) – The Pfeiffer University men's basketball team suffered a 118-91 road loss to William Peace University on Tuesday night at the Hermann Athletic Center in Raleigh, N.C.
The Falcons (11-9, 6-6 USA South), fell behind early 5-0 and would trail 65-40 at the half. WPU would extend their lead to as many as 36 points in the second half (114-78).
Pfeiffer would not get closer than 27 points down the stretch as William Peace went on to the 118-91 win.
The Falcons were led by Jamaal David (Clinton, Md.), as he scored 15 points. Junior Craig Sabb (Goose Creek, S.C.) had 14 points and a team-high eight rebounds to go along with six assists while freshman Regin Larson (Charlotte, N.C.) contributed 12 points while hitting a team-high three from beyond the arc.
As a team, Pfeiffer shot 43.2% (32-of-74) from the field while WPU managed a 40-of-74 outing, good for 54.1%.
Pfeiffer will return home to Merner Gym for a pair of USA South games this upcoming weekend. The Falcons will take on Methodist on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. and Sunday against Maryville, also at 4:00 p.m.
