Pfeiffer Women Completes Second Half Comeback to Down VU-Lynchburg
Misenheimer, N.C. (Nov. 17, 2021) – The Pfeiffer University women's basketball team battled back from an eight-point halftime deficit to defeat visiting Virginia University-Lynchburg 83-76 at Merner Gym on Wednesday night.
Pfeiffer (2-1) outscored the Dragons 21-15 in the third quarter to trim the deficit to 56-54.

Brina Bentley (Chester, Va.) at the 9:28 mark tied the game at 56-56 and the Falcons would take their first lead of the game when Bentley scored again following a Dragon turnover one possession later following a Dragon turnover.
Pfeiffer kept the pressure, building a lead of as many as seven points in the fourth, eventually winning by the same seven-point margin of 83-76.

Mya Johnson (Roxboro, N.C.) had 11. Bentley and
Alexis Murriel (Gastonia, N.C.) each had a team-high seven rebounds while Murriel dished a game-high seven assists.
Pfeiffer will close the week with their third-straight home game, taking on Johnson & Wales University on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. at Merner Gym.
