Roanoke is Too Much For Pfeiffer Men's Basketball
Salem, Va. (Nov. 21, 2021) – Homestanding Roanoke led wire-to-wire in a 96-72 win over visiting Pfeiffer University in a nonconference men's basketball game on Saturday afternoon at the Creeger Center in Salem, Va.
Pfeiffer (2-2) placed three players in double-figures with senior
Taylan Rowe (Oakboro, N.C.) leading the way with 15 points. All of Rowe's points came from beyond the arc, as he went 5-of-11 from the three-point line. In addition to his 15 points, Rowe had five rebounds.
Fellow seniors
Craig Sabb (Goose Creek, S.C.) and
Jerome Savoy (Waldorf, Md) finished with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Sabb finished 4-of-7 from the field, including a pair of three-pointers while Savoy also hit a pair from distance while going 3-of-6. Sabb also led all Falcon players with eight rebounds.
Roanoke got 27 points from Efosa U-Edosomwan and 23 points from Kasey Draper to improve the Maroons to 4-0 overall.
Pfeiffer will hit the road once more before the Thanksgiving break when they travel to Virginia Wesleyan on Monday, Nov. 22 for a 5:00 p.m. game with the Marlins.
