Pfeiffer Women Falls at Catholic in Jamie L. Roberts Classic
Washington, D.C. - (Dec. 21, 2021) – The Pfeiffer University women's basketball team opened play in the Jamie L. Roberts Classic by falling to host Catholic University on Monday afternoon in Washington, D.C.
Pfeiffer (4-6) shot just 26% (19-of-73) from the field in the game.
Catholic jumped out to a 24-7 lead after the first quarter and never looked back in the win.
Pfeiffer's lone player in double-figures was graduate student
Shalonda Wilkins (Chesterfield, Va.), as she scored a team-high 12 points. Wilkins hit a pair of three-pointers and finished 5-of-11 from the floor.

Tanaesha Ellison (Asheboro, N.C.) had eight points and a team-best five rebounds in the loss.
Catholic (9-1) had four players in double-figures, with Amanda Johnson scoring 13 points to go along with a team-best eight rebounds.
Pfeiffer will look to rebound on Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 21 when they take on Salisbury at 4:00 p.m. to complete play in Washington, D.C.
