How it Happened
In a game that was resumed in the bottom of the ninth from March 20, Pfeiffer was unable to get a runner aboard in the ninth. WPU was also retired in order in the top of the 10th inning.
In the Falcon 10th, Seth Grice laced a one-out single to right field. He would then advance to second on a groundout that forced the second baseman to range towards the right side of the infield.
With two out, Ferrell assumed the role of hero as he punched a double over the left fielder's outstretched hand, allowing Grice to race home from second, igniting a wild celebration that spilled over into the outfield, giving Pfeiffer the 22-21 win in a game that could possibly send the Falcons to the USA South East Division Championship Series.

Pfeiffer will play their final game of the regular season on Sunday, May 2 at 4:00 p.m. when they play host to Mary Baldwin University at Joe Ferebee Field.
