Box Score 2 Pfeiffer Baseball Wins Series With Split at Averett
Danville, Va. (April 3, 2021) – The Pfeiffer University baseball team won the USA South baseball series with Averett on Saturday, by splitting a doubleheader, winning 9-1 and falling 4-3 in the second game.

How it Happened
Game 1 – Seven Falcon batters drove in runs while Pfeiffer had four extra base hits in a 9-1 win.
Austin Morton, Seth Grice and Kyler Fairchild each had doubles while Bryce Marsh hit his third home run of the season.
Jacob Landis had a terrific day on the mound, as he pitched seven innings and allowed just one run while scattering seven hits while striking out eight. Matt Moser closed out the game, pitching two hitless innings while striking out four.
Game 2 – Averett got a walk-off single to salvage a win in game three by a 4-3 score.
