Box Score Falcon Baseball Falls to Mary Baldwin
Misenheimer, N.C. (May 3, 2021) – The Pfeiffer Falcons baseball team dropped the final game of a three-game series to Mary Baldwin University by a 13-4 score on Sunday afternoon at Joe Ferebee Field

How it Happened
Mary Baldwin put five runs across in the third inning, as the Squirrels pieced together six hits against Pfeiffer pitching.
The Falcons got a run back in the fifth inning. Kyler Fairchild led off with a double and then advanced to third on a Bryan Kowalski single. Fairchild cross the plate after an MBU error, making it 5-1.
MBU added two runs in the sixth and another three in the seventh to take the 10-1 lead.
In the Falcon eighth, Bryce Marsh connected on his team-leading seventh home run of the season. The three-run shot well over the right field fence would bring Pfeiffer to 10-4.
MBU would get those three runs back in the top half of the ninth and then retired the Falcons in order to take the 13-4 win.
With the setback, Pfeiffer completes the 2021 season with an overall record of 13-10 and 9-6 in USA South play.
