Pfeiffer Women's Basketball Drops 91-61 Game at Greensboro
Greensboro N.C. (Jan. 20, 2022) – The Greensboro College women's basketball team hit 12 three-pointers on the night in dealing Pfeiffer University a 91-61 USA South defeat at Hanes Gym on Thursday night in Greensboro.
The Pride, which improved to 14-1 overall and 8-1 in USA South play, went a combined 12-of-38 from long range with Karli Mason doing the brunt of the damage by hitting five on the night to finish with 15 points. Teammate Aliyah Whiteside contributed three of her own to finish with 13 points.
Greensboro's Ta'Keria Legette posted a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds while Lauren Livingston was the other Pride player in double figures with 16 points.
Pfeiffer senior
Brina Bentley (Chester, Va.) led the way with a team-best 12 points and seven rebounds. Converse to Greensboro's prowess from long range, Pfeiffer struggled, going just 1-of-19 from deep, with
Mara Ochoa-Contreras (Mexico City, Mexico) hitting the lone three-pointer for the Falcons.
The loss drops Pfeiffer to 6-9 overall and 2-5 in USA South play.
