Pfeiffer Men Drops Road Game at Berry College
Rome, Ga. (Nov. 26, 2022) –  The visiting Pfeiffer University basketball team fell to Berry College by a 93-84 final at the Cage Center on Saturday afternoon in Rome, Ga.
The win improves Berry to 6-0 on the season while Pfeiffer dips to 2-5.
The Falcons were led by 
Alex Cunningham (Greenwood, S.C.), as he scored a team-high 20 points  Cunningham was 9-of-15 from the field while hitting one three pointer.  He also had four assists and a pair of rebounds.
Teammates 
Doug Smith (Badin, N.C.) and 
Jordan Byrd (Mebane, N.C.) each had 10 points.  Smith was 5-of-6 from the field while Byrd finished with a 4-of-6 shooting effort. Smith managed three rebounds while Byrd had two.  Byrd also hit a pair from long range in the loss.
As a team, Pfeiffer shot 52.9% from the field while Berry managed a 55.4% effort.
Berry had four players in double-figures, with Chase Ellis scoring 25 and Braxton Benham with 21 points.
Pfeiffer will take an extended break with final exams on the horizon in the next few weeks.  The Falcons will next play on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 2:00 p.m. against Lynchburg in Merner Gym.
