Pfeiffer Women's Basketball Grabs 56-47 Road Win at Bob Jones
Greenville, S.C. (Dec. 16, 2022) – The Pfeiffer University women's basketball team snapped a five- game winless streak with a 56-47 nonconference road win over Bob Jones University at the Davis Field House on Thursday night in Greenville, S.C.
Pfeiffer sophomore
Kenadie Hudler (Jefferson, N.C.) got on track by hitting five three-pointers and finishing 5-of-11 from the field to lead Pfeiffer with 15 points. Fellow sophomore teammate
Alexis Bynum (Charlotte, N.C.) had 11 points and seven rebounds while also dishing a team-best seven assists in the win.
The freshman duo of
Miya Horton (Lenoir, N.C.) and
Hannah Isley (China Grove, N.C.), along with sophomore
Shania Haynes (Charlotte, N.C.), each pulled down eight rebounds each for Pfeiffer.
The Falcons were dominant on the glass, outrebounding BJU 41-31 and holding a commanding 17-5 margin in offensive rebounds.
The win improves Pfeiffer to 2-6 on the season while BJU drops to 5-6.
Pfeiffer will close the 2022 calendar year in their final nonconference game of the season on Saturday, Dec. 17 at ODAC foe Guilford College. Tipoff from Greensboro, N.C. is set for 1:00 p.m.
