Staunton, Va. (May 1, 2022) – The Pfeiffer University baseball team completed the three-game road sweep of Mary Baldwin on Sunday, taking a 17-14 win in Staunton, Va.

How it Happened
Pfeiffer battered Mary Baldwin pitching to the tune of 20 hits and scored 17 runs to take a 17-14 win
The Falcons hit five doubles in the game, one each from Lackey, Ferrell, Morton, Bell and Evans., with both Ferrell and Evans collecting four RBI.
Ferrell, Evans and Marsh each had home runs un game two, with Ferrell's blast being a two run shot. Evans' round-tripper was a solo blast while Marsh also collected a two-run blast.
Marsh and
Alec Bell each had three RBI in the win.
Chris Mauck earned the pitching win for Pfeiffer, throwing six innings, striking out a pair and giving up six earned runs.
Up Next
Pfeiffer will take the third-seed from the East and will travel to N.C. Wesleyan for the USA South Divisional Tournament May 5-7.
The Falcons will take Huntingdon, the second seed from the West Division following the completion of the N.C. Wesleyan-Piedmont game.
