How it Happened
North Carolina Wesleyan outscored Pfeiffer 23-10 in the first quarter and never looked back in taking the 74-49 win in the final game of the USA South regular season.
Individual Leaders
- Freshman Hannah Isley (China Grove, N.C.) led all Pfeiffer scorers with a game-high 21 points on a 9-of-14 shooting effort. She was a perfect 3-of-3 from beyond the arc and pulled down four rebounds on the day. She also had a pair of blocked shots.
- Sophomore Tanaesha Ellison (Asheboro, N.C.) had 13 points and five rebounds as the only other Pfeiffer player in double-figures. Â Â Ellison also had four steals on the afternoon.
- NCWU got 16 points from Areina Harris Teammate Kayrisma Harris had 11 points and 21 rebounds while Nadia Simmons had 10 points.
