How it Happened – Game 1
Pfeiffer pitcher Kenzi Lyall (Sparta, N.C.) pitched a complete-game shutout and struck out seven Quaker batters to send Pfeiffer to a 4-0 win.

Offensively, Pfeiffer was led by senior Kendyll Warren (Lenoir, N.C.), as she delivered an RBI double in the fourth inning.  She followed that by a three-run blast in the sixth to provide the eventual 4-0 final.

Game 2
Pfeiffer's Emma Chopko (Mooresville, N.C.) ripped an RBI single in the first inning to score teammate Caiti Mickles (Boonville, N.C.), putting the Falcons up 1-0.

Mickles would get an RBI single of her own in the third inning to extend the Pfeiffer lead to 2-0.  She would then triple in the fifth inning to send Pfeiffer to the 3-0 lead.

Guilford struck for a run in the sixth inning on an RBI double by Makenley Mitchell to cut the lead to 3-1.

Pfeiffer used the long ball in the sixth inning, with Lyall belting a solo shot to left-center field.  Warren would make it back-to-back home runs when she lifted her second of the day, also to left-center, putting Pfeiffer up 5-1.

Guilford plated a run in the seventh to make it 5-2, but Lyall forced a ground out and then snagged a line drive to end the game, sending Pfeiffer to the season-opening sweep.
