How It Happened

After jumping out to a 10-8 advantage, Pfeiffer went on an 11-0 run with 14:07 left in the first half, culminating in a bucket from Rashamel Butler, to increase its lead to 21-8. The Falcons then lost some of that lead, but still entered halftime with a 40-36 advantage. Pfeiffer did most of its first half damage in the paint, scoring 22 of its 40 points close to the basket.

Following intermission, Pfeiffer kept widening that lead, expanding it to 57-48 before going on a 9-0 run, finished off by Sean Sucarichi's jumper, to grow the lead to 66-48 with 10:06 to go in the contest. The Falcons held onto that lead for the rest of the game for the 96-78 win. Pfeiffer took care of business in the paint, recording 32 of its 56 points in the lane.
