Pfeiffer Men's Cross Country Competes at NCAA Division III Championship
SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Pfeiffer University placed three runners in the men's 8K at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships on Saturday morning at the Milliken Research Park course in Spartanburg, S.C.
Freshman
Jorge Clemente-Garcia paced the Falcons, finishing in 25:28.9, good for 119th-place finish in the field of more than 280 runners. All-told, he was the 8th-best finisher among freshman runners.
Competing on the national stage for the second straigh season, junior
Cannon Powell crossed in 25:54.5, which improved his time from his 2024 finish (26:47), while senior
Sawyer Helms posted a time of 26:32.7.
The race featured top Division III programs, with Wisconsin-La Crosse winning the team title behind a 24:14 average and Johns Hopkins senior Emmanuel Leblond claiming the individual championship in 23:35.0.
