GAME 1 | No. 16 Pfeiffer 4, Guilford 3
MISENHEIMER, N.C. --The No. 16 Pfeiffer Falcons picked up a win in walk-off fashion by scoring two in the bottom of the seventh after Guilford took a 3-2 lead in the top half of the inning, sealing the victory on a single off the bat of senior Emma Chopko to beat the Quakers 4-3 Wednesday.
Senior Emma Bullin (6-2) got the win for Pfeiffer (12-3). The right-hander went seven innings, giving up three runs, one earned, on eight hits, allowing no walks and striking out two.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons got on the scoreboard first, starting in the third inning. Junior Landry Stewart came across to score the lone run of the inning for Pfeiffer and get them on the board.
The Falcons then held the Quakers scoreless before getting back on the board the very next inning. Freshman Anna Jordan came across to score the lone run of the inning for Pfeiffer, which brought the score to 2-0 in favor of the Falcons.
Guilford then rallied to take a 3-2 lead before Pfeiffer scored two runs in the bottom half of the seventh to grab the win, walking it off on an RBI single off the bat of Chopko.

Senior Emma Chopko went 1-for-3 with a home run and an RBI, but the No. 16 Pfeiffer Falcons came up short on Wednesday, falling to Guilford by a final of 3-1.
Freshman Peyton Lane (5-1) started and took the loss in the circle for Pfeiffer (12-4). The right-hander went six innings, giving up three runs, all of them earned, on six hits, allowing no walks and striking out four. Senior Emma Bullin started the ballgame and went one shutout inning without allowing a hit.
In the batter's box, the Falcons were paced by Chopko, who went 1-for-3 on the day with a home run and an RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 3-0, the Falcons first put runs on the board in the sixth inning. Chopko put Pfeiffer on the board with a leadoff home run off freshman Shiloh Gray. The Falcons were unable to get any closer, as neither team scored again in the ballgame.
