MISENHEIMER, N.C. --Senior Emma Bullin was dealing on Saturday, hurling a three-hit shutout to lead the No. 22 Pfeiffer Falcons over the North Carolina Wesleyan Battling Bishops 4-0 on Saturday at Jack Ingram Field
Bullin (7-4) went the distance for Pfeiffer (13-7, 1-0), giving up three hits, walking none and striking out four.
Offensively, the Falcons were paced by senior Emma Chopko, who went 2-for-2 on the day with a double, a triple, a walk and an RBI. Junior Landry Stewart compiled a noteworthy performance at the plate as well, going 2-for-3 with an RBI. Bullin also contributed for Pfeiffer, putting together two hits in three trips to the plate.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons took the lead for good in the second, scoring for the first time in the inning. Bullin came across to score the lone run of the inning for Pfeiffer and get them on the board.
The Falcons then tacked on runs in the fifth and sixth innings, with their biggest output coming in the sixth when they scored two times. Stewart's run-scoring single highlighted the two-run frame.

In game two Pfeiffer took a 4-2 lead in the second inning and never trailed from there on the way to an 8-4 victory over the North Carolina Wesleyan Battling Bishops in game two.
Senior Emma Bullin (8-4) came in to pitch in the second inning and picked up the win for Pfeiffer (14-7, 2-0). The right-hander went 5.2 innings, giving up two runs, both of them earned, on four hits, allowing one walk and striking out two.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 2-0, the Falcons first put runs on the board in the second inning. Pfeiffer's offense started clicking and put up four runs, including a one-run flyout off the bat of senior Gracie Griffin.
The Battling Bishops failed to push any runs across before the Falcons built on their lead in the fifth inning. The Pfeiffer offense exploded for four runs, highlighted by a one-run single off the bat of junior Landry Stewart, which brought the Falcons lead to 8-2. North Carolina Wesleyan put two runs on the scoreboard before the game was over, but Pfeiffer still coasted to the 8-4 win.
