Salisbury, Md. (May 15, 2025) --The Pfeiffer Falcons were limited to one hit on the afternoon, as Mount Union took an 8-0 win in the first round of the NCAA Division III Regional Tournament at a warm Marge Knight Softball Stadium in Salisbury, Md.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons were limited to the lowest offensive output of the season, collecting just one hit on the afternoon. That hit came from Landry Stewart in the bottom of the first inning. From there, Mount Union pitcher Kendyll Cahill kept the Falcon bats in-check.
Pfeiffer did not advance a runner past second base on the afternoon and went 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position..
GAME NOTES
» Pfeiffer pitchers faced 30 Mount Union hitters in the game, allowing five ground balls and six fly balls while striking out three.
» L. Stewart led the Falcons at the plate, going 1 for 3.
» Mount Union was led offensively by Cahill, who went 2 for 3 with two doubles and four RBIs.
