Pfeiffer Edged by Salisbury 5-4 in NCAA Regional

SALISBURY, Md. (May 17, 2025) - The host Salisbury Sea Gulls got a walk-off hit in the bottom of the seventh inning to down Pfeiffer 5-4 in the NCAA Regional.  The win advances Salisbury to the NCAA Super Regionals while Pfeiffer completes their season at 37-9

Senior pitcher Emma Bullin (30-6) got the ball to start for Pfeiffer (37-9) and took the loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Falcons got on the scoreboard first, starting in the third inning when Landry Stewart came across to score to put Pfeiffer up 1-0

The Falcons lost the lead they built in the third, but got back on the board in the fourth.  Trailing 2-1 the Falcon's Emily Dickerson belted a three-run home run to left center field, scoring Bullin and Skylar Price, pushing Pfeiffer ahead 4-2.

The Falcons were unable to hold the lead, as Salisbury scored three times over the remaining three innings to grab the 5-4 win.

GAME NOTES

» Pfeiffer's highest scoring inning was the fourth, when it pushed three runs across.
» Pfeiffer pitchers limited Salisbury to just 2-for-13 (.154) with runners in scoring position.
» Pfeiffer pitchers faced 36 Salisbury hitters in the game, allowing nine ground balls and six fly balls while striking out five.
» Dickerson led the Falcons at the plate, going 1 for 1 with a home run and three RBIs.
» Salisbury was led offensively by S. Flowers, who went 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI.
» S. Adolfson led the Seagulls pitching staff, throwing 3.1 innings of one-run ball.

Landry Stewart, Charly Cooper and Emma Chopko were all named to the NCAA All-Region Team.
