MISENHEIMER, N.C. (May 2, 2025) -- The Pfeiffer University softball team extended their winning streak to 20 straight games in an 8-0 win over fourth-seeded Meredith College in the USA South Tournament at Jack Ingram Field on Friday afternoon.
Senior pitcher Emma Bullin managed a four-hit shutout to lead the No. 20 Pfeiffer Falcons, striking out four batters, improving to 26-4 on the season.
Offensively, the Falcons were led by Bullin, who went 1-for-2 on the day with a walk and two RBI. Junior Charly Cooper furnished a standout effort as well, going 2-for-2 with a walk and an RBI. Senior Emma Chopko also chipped in for Pfeiffer, putting together one hit in two trips to the plate while adding a pair of RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons took the lead for good in the first, scoring for the first time in the inning. Bullin drove in two runs for Pfeiffer with a single, that scored junior Landry Stewart and sophomore Madison Varner.
The Falcons then tacked on runs in the third and fourth innings, with their biggest output coming in the fourth when they scored five times. The big hit in that inning was a two-run single off the bat of Chopko.
