Biography

Byrd begins his second season as a member of the Pfeiffer men's basketball program in 2020-21.

2020-21 (Sophomore) - Appeared in 10 10 games and started in one. Shot 48.6% from the field (36-of-74) and was 2-of-6 from long range.  Also had 16 rebounds on the season.

2019-20 (Freshman) - Started four games while appearing in 24.  Averaged 2.5 ppg and shot 53.1% from the field. Scored a career-high 16 points and had 12 rebounds in a 113-79 road win at Greensboro on Jan. 29.

Prior to Pfeiffer - Played his prep basketball at Eastern Alamance High School in Mebane, N.C. Averaged 3.6 ppg and 1.9 rebounds per game during his two-year varsity career. Also played football, where he had 165 career tackles, 5.0 sacks and had four career interceptions.
Also played baseball.

Personal - Son of Chris Byrd and Monica Watson.  Has one sibling.  Enjoys hunting, fishing and racing go-carts.  Birthday is Aug. 9.
