Cory Lackey is entering his first season as an assistant coach of the Pfeiffer University baseball program in 2025.
Prior to joining the coaching staff, Lackey was a five-year infield starter for the Falcons earning First Team All-Conference Honors during the 2023 season.
Lackey will be returning to the diamond with a primary focus of developing the team’s defense. He will also play a key role in the offense and recruiting efforts moving forward. Â
During the summer of 2024, Lackey coached in the Old North State League as a hitting and defensive coach for the Wilkesboro Moonshiners. Â
Lackey was born and raised in North Wilkesboro, N.C. and graduated from Pfeiffer University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sport Management in 2023 and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration with Sport Administration focus.
