Craig Bolton

2023-24: Craig Bolton is entering his ninth season overall and fourth season as the head coach of the Pfeiffer baseball program.  He served as the Falcons assistant coach for five seasons prior to being elevated to head coach.

Prior to joining the coaching staff, Bolton pitched during his freshman year for the Falcons earning Second Team All-Conference Honors, before his career was cut short due to injury. He stayed on the team for his final years of undergrad as a student assistant.

During the summer of 2017, Bolton coached in the Coastal Plain League as the pitching coach for the Forest City Owls. The Owls were the first and second half western division champions, and then overall western division champions. Bolton led the pitching staff that posted a 3.82 ERA, the best in the league.

Bolton coached Falcon pitcher Nick Richmond, who went 7-0 as a pitcher while striking out 83 batters in 64.1 innings pitched in his junior campaign.  Richmond went on to sign with the Detroit Tigers and played in their Rookie League in Florida during the summer of 2019 and is currently with the Baltimore Orioles Organization.

Bolton was born and raised in Shelby, N.C. He graduated from Pfeiffer University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications in 2015 and Masters of Science and Leadership in 2018.
