Pfeiffer Grad Kirby Lambert Makes Debut With Roswell (NM) Invaders

Misenheimer, N.C. (June 28, 2019) –
Recent Pfeiffer University graduate and former baseball player Kirby Lambert had a tremendous debut with the Roswell Invaders of the Pecos League.

In his first game with the Invaders, which is based in Roswell, New Mexico, Lambert went 2-of-3 with a single and a two-run home run.

Lambert, who joined the team this past Wednesday, hit a single in his first professional at-bat in the third inning and lifted a two-run shot in the fifth inning. He also drew a pair of walks in the game and stole two bases in their 12-5 win over the White Sands Pupfish.

The Pecos League is an independent baseball league which operates in cities in desert mountain regions throughout California, New Mexico, Southern Arizona, Kansas, West Texas and Southern Colorado. Pecos League teams play in cities that do not have major or minor league teams and are not affiliated with either. The Pecos League has two divisions which stretch from the plains of Kansas to the Oceans of California to the Mexican Border of Texas.

The Pecos League regular season runs from May 30-July 30.
