Falcons Roll Past Greensboro, 117-96
Greensboro, N.C. (Feb. 13, 2019) – Pfeiffer University had five players score in double figures including 44 from senior Kyle Riddley, as the visiting Falcons bolted past Greensboro College on Wednesday night in Greensboro, N.C.
Riddley, from Charlotte, N.C., continued his torrid scoring pace, going 13-of-19 from the field and an impressive 16-of-21 from the free throw line. He also secured 12 rebounds to post the double-double. He also had five assists.
Josiah Avington (Fredericksburg, Va.) knocked down six three-pointers and was a perfect 3-of-3 from the foul line, scoring 21 points. Tyjarek Simmons (Roanoke Rapids, N.C.) and Blake Smith (Wilmington, N.C.) also got into the long-range scoring action, with Simmons hitting five three-pointers and Smith four from distance, with the duo scoring 15 and 14 points respectively. Craig Sabb (Goose Creek, S.C.) also had a great night, pouring in 11 points in the win.
As a team, Pfeiffer hit 17 three-pointers on the night, with six players dialing in from long range.
The win improves the Falcons to 12-12 on the season while Greensboro drops to 3-21.
Pfeiffer will close the 2018-19 season this upcoming Saturday, Feb. 16 with a nonconference road game at Johnson University in Knoxville, Tenn.
