Pfeiffer Cross Country Begins Season by Hosting Pfeiffer Dual

Misenheimer, N.C. – The Pfeiffer University cross country teams started their 2019 season by hosting the Pfeiffer Dual on Friday, August 30.

Freshman Alyson Hanlon (Summerfield, N.C.) started her collegiate career as the top Falcon finisher, completing the 5K course in 24:01, good for eighth place.

Junior teammate Tiffany Bartholomew (Raleigh, N.C.)  completed the course in 26:44, finishing in 10th place. Micah Welborn, Loren Smith and Cailen Fusetti rounded out the finishes for the Falcons.

Augusta's Micah Weathers claimed the top spot, running the course in 18:51.

On the men's side, Pfeiffer's Curtis Freeman (Lexington, N.C.) ran the 8K course in 32:22, finishing in 15th place.  Michael Eudy (Stanfield, N.C.) finished just behind Freeman with a 33:15 to claim 16th place.

Jacob Poston claimed first place for Augusta, finishing the race in 26:14.

The Falcons will next race in the Fleet Feet Invitational in Salisbury, N.C. on Sept. 7.
