Makenzie Pennell delivered an RBI single and Millsaps drove in a run on a squeeze play. The final Falcon run of the frame came when Kari Westerbeek roped an RBI single to left center.

Averett made it interesting in the top of the seventh, as they plated four runs to draw to within 8-7, but a Casey Cook pop up to second base ended the game, with Pfeiffer taking the 8-7 win.
