Caiti Mickles enters her fifth season as a graduate student and member of the Pfeiffer softball program in 2022.
2022 (Senior) - Mickles earned USA First Team honors. Mickles finished the season with a .386 batting average while managing 44 hits on the season which included 12 doubles and a team-best seven home runs. She also had a .675 slugging percentage and a .510 on base percentage.
2021 (Junior) - Played in 31 games for the Falcons where she had a .344 Batting Average, .455 On Base Percentage, batted in 21 RBIs, and a .613 Slugging Percentage. Mickles had 16 pitching appearances, with 11 starts and worked a 9-6 record. At the conclusion of the season, she received 1st Team East Division. Mickles also earned Pitcher of the Week during the season (April 12th) for a spectacular performance: In a total of 13.1 innings pitched, Mickles compiled a 1.05 ERA while allowing three runs, two of which were earned, on six hits with five walks and six strikeouts. Mickles earned two wins over USA South foe Meredith, including a six-inning no-hitter in a game that Pfeiffer won 8-0.Â
2020 (Sophomore) - Had eight appearances in the circle, had four starts and managed a 5-0 record. She stuck out 15 on the season and had a 2.12 ERA. Offensively, she hit a pair of home runs, had six doubles and one triple. So also had a .756 slugging percentage and a .444 batting average. Following the season, she was named to the USA South All-Academic Team. She was also named the Team MVP.
The season was canceled in mid-March due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic.
2019 (Freshman) -Â Appeared in 15 games for the Falcons. After 5 at bats she finished with a .400 batting average with two hits and three runs scored. Pitched 12 innings for the Falcons with 6 strikeouts and a 2.10 ERA. Finished with a fielding percentage of 1.000. Â
Prior to Pfeiffer -Â Played softball at Forbush High School in Yadkin County, North Carolina. During her high school career she obtained the titles of WPAC Defensive Player of the Year (2017), WPAC Pitcher of the Year (2018), WPAC All Conference (2017 & 2018), WPAC All Tournament (2017 & 2018), All District (2017 & 2018), and North Carolina All State (2017 & 2018). Â
Personal -Â Daughter of Candace (Craig Mounce) and Scotty (Melissa) Mickles. Has two brothers, Zach (24) and Tanner (22). Has one sister, Addisyn Rae (7). Majoring in Special Education. Has two dogs, Mila and Rico. Â
