Pfeiffer University

2024 (Junior): Lyall finsihed her second season with the Falcons by earning her second-consecutive UsA South Player of the Year award.  She stated in 45 games for the Falcons, finished with a .409 batting average, leading Pfeiffer with 12 home runs and 48 RBI.

As a pitcher she finished with a 0.88 ERA while going 13-1 in the circle.  She tossed 87.1 innings and had 67 strikeouts.
She earned NFCA All-Region 1st Team, NCAA All-Tournament, and USA South All-Conference 1st Team (UT) awards.  She also was the USA South Player of the Week on April 8 and USA South Pitcher of the Week on Feb 19 and Feb. 26. 

2023 (Sophomore): Named as USA South’s Player of the Year, Lyall started in all 48 games for the Falcons. Lyall posted 62 hits and 10 HRs, while scoring 41 runs with 36 RBI’s and while on the mound pitched 115 innings with 109 strikeouts. Lyall’s honors also include: 4X USA South Pitcher or Player of the Week, USA South First Team All-Conference, and USA South All Tournament Team, NFCA 3rd Team All-Region, and NCAA Tournament All-Region.

Prior to Pfeiffer: Transferred to Pfeiffer from Appalachian State in the fall of 2022.

Played four years for Alleghany High School in Sparta, N.C. During her time there, she helped lead her team to an NCHSAA 1A State Championship.

Earned All-Conference, All-District and All-State honors as a freshman, sophomore, and senior. Also was named to the All-Tournament team, awarded Conference MVP, State Tournament MVP; and led North Carolina in strikeouts her freshman year.

Named Conference Pitcher of the Year, District Pitcher of the Year (freshman, sophomore, and senior years) and State Pitcher of the Year (freshman). 

As a senior, she was named Alleghany’s Female Athlete of the Year and was awarded the NCHSAA Gainey Student Award and earned National Player of the Week honores twice by Extra Inning Softball.

Lyall had a career ERA of .84  with 704 strikeouts and pitched three perfect games. Played travel ball for the Carolina Cardinals Nationals.
