Templeton Stands In Fifth at Mars Hill Spring Invitational

– Sophomore Olivia Templeton stands in fifth place after round one of the Mars Hill Spring Invitational.

Templeton, from Greensboro, N.C., led all Falcon golfers after firing a 16-over 88 in the first round at the par 72, 6,022 yard Diamondback Golf Club in Loris, S.C.
 
Teammate Caroline Rea (Pinehurst, N.C.) shot a 98 (+26) to claim 14th place after the first round.  Pfeiffer's Jessica May and Ashley Cano, both from Thomasville, N.C. had first rounds of 100 and 101 to sit in 15th and 16th place, respectively.  Rounding out the first round for the Falcons is sophomore
Karie Grace Shields (Albemarle, N.C.), as she finished with a first round 125.

As a team, Pfeiffer finished with a first round total of 387 (+99) and sits in third place.

The Falcons will round out tournament play on Tuesday afternoon.
