John F. Osborne III began his new role with Pfeiffer University as assistant track and field/cross country coach in the fall of 2024.
He has over eight years of coaching experience at the high school and club levels.Â
John has led 73 athletes to the Junior Olympics, with four earning All-American designation through his club team called the Carolina Blaze Youth Development.
Along with 21 state competitors over two seasons at Palisades High School in Charlotte, he built the newly formed program from into a perennial powerhouse at the NCHSAA 4A level.

Coach Osborne is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a bachelor degree in criminal justice and minored in psychology.
Osbourne competed in the 2014 NCAA Division I National Championships in Eugene, Oregon along with multiple Atlantic 10 conference champions.
He holds a USATF Level 1 certification, is a USATF official and is a certified trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Coach is a proud alumnus of Victory Christian Center School where he won the 2A/1A titles in the 100m and 200m dash in 2008 and 2009, underneath the long-time great coach John Pratt.
He attended Fayetteville State University out of high school where he was a wide receiver for the Broncos, where he helped them win the 2009 CIAA Football Championship.

Osborne was born in Plattsburgh, New York on the U.S. Air Force base to John and Darlene Osborne and was raised in Charlotte, N.C.
