MISENHEIMER, N.C. – It was a successful senior day for the Pfeiffer swim team as they defeated UNC Pembroke 124-90 inside Merner Pool. Prior to the meet, the Falcons honored the contributions of Mireia van Riet, Eva Miller, Alevtyna Kalashnik, Kat Kelley and Allison Lindsey.
Hampden Sydney, Virginia -- The Pfeiffer women's swim team was defeated 118-82 by Bridgewater in their meet at Hampden Sydney College this afternoon. Allison Lindsey and Mireia van Riet each won two events on the afternoon. Lindsey took home the 200 meter freestyle win with a time of 2:20.83 and the 100 meter butterfly with a time of 1:09.21. Van Riet swam to wins in the 400 meter IM, coming in with a time of 5:41.16, and in the 100 meter backstroke, finishing with a time of 1:12.82.
COLUMBIA, S.C. -- In a rare occurrence, the Pfeiffer swim team swam to a tie at Columbia with each team accumulating 119 points on the day. The Falcons went 3-0 last night with wins against Greensboro, Sweet Briar and Guilford before today's draw.
GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Pfeiffer swimming team had a dominant night as they earned a clean sweep of Sweet Briar, Greensboro and Guilford on Friday evening. Pfeiffer had seven individual winners on the evening and won the 200-yard medley relay as well.
On Friday, the Pfeiffer Falcons swim team competed in day one of Queen’s Fall Frenzy as they swam against teams from both Division I and II. In each event in this three day competition, heats would determine the final place order.
On Saturday afternoon, the Pfeiffer Falcons swim team picked up their first victory of the season as they competed in a double dual against the host school Sweet Briar College and UNC Pembroke. The Falcons were able to pick up a win against the Vixens,131-95, but fell to the Braves, 117-112. Mireia van Riet was the top performer on the day as she picked up three wins.
MISENHEIMER, N.C. -- After a two-year hiatus, the Pfeiffer women's swimming program relaunched with a meet against Chowan inside Merner Pool on Saturday afternoon. Despite a 113-68 loss, a lot of positives were taken out of the return.
