The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) has named Pfeiffer University's women's swimming team to its Scholar All-America team for the spring 2019 semester.

The Falcons are among a record 480 institutions who earned the designation.

CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart noted: "Coach Flood, in just one short year, is showing Pfeiffer the benefits of bringing back their team."

185 Division III women's teams earned the awards, with Pfeiffer earning a 3.20 grade point average in the spring semester.

"I am so very proud of our team earning this prestigious award," said Flood.  "They, along with all the other teams on the list, exemplify the "student" in student-athlete.  Our Falcons not only excelled in the classroom, they achieved a 78% "Lifetime Best Times" average on the season as well!"

The CSCAA will announce its individual Scholar All-Americans in the upcoming weeks.
