Pfeiffer Tennis Falls to Methodist 8-1

Misenheimer, N.C. -- The Pfeiffer women's tennis team took an 8-1 loss to Methodist on Wednesday afternoon. Their record falls to 2-5 on the year.

In singles play, the Falcons' number one player Juliana Batah fell to the Monarchs' number one player Jenna Landis 6-2, 6-2. Anna Branson also had a hard fought match, but fell 6-3, 6-2 to Davi Barbour.

In doubles play, Batah and Branson picked up a win by defeating Landis and Han Le 8-4. This is Batah's second straight doubles victory of the season. Ally Delaney and ShaNisha White fell 8-2 in doubles play, while the team of Maddie Hatley and Allison Wike were defeated 8-3.

The Falcons take the court again Saturday as they travel to Shaw. The match is scheduled for 9:30.
