Women's Tennis Defeats Salem, 8-1

MISENHEIMER, N.C. -- The Pfeiffer women's tennis team (4-7) defeated Salem (6-7) by a score of 8-1 at the Knapp Tennis Center on Tuesday afternoon. For the Falcons, it was their first home game since in two weeks.

The Falcons grabbed a couple of wins in doubles action. In first doubles, Juliana Batah and ShaNisha White earned a clean 8-0 win and Ally Delaney and Maddie Hatley earned an 8-6 win in second doubles.

Pfeiffer swept through singles action, winning at all six spots in straight sets. Batah won 6-3, 6-3 and Anna Branson won in the second position 6-1, 6-2. Delaney (6-2, 6-0), White (6-0, 6-1), Hatley (6-0, 6-0) and Sydney Honeycutt (6-0, 6-0) all earned victories.

The Falcons return to action tomorrow afternoon as they host Greensboro at 4 p.m.
