Women's Tennis Drops 8-1 Decision to Brevard

Brevard Women's Tennis Downs Pfeiffer, 8-1

Misenheimer, N.C. (Sept. 30, 2019 – Visiting Brevard College swept all three doubles matches and took five of six singles matches to down Pfeiffer University in women's tennis play on a sweltering Sunday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center.

Brevard – 1-2
Pfeiffer – 0-2

Pfeiffer's Sydney Gray was the lone bright spot for the Falcons on Sunday afternoon, as she won her No. 2 match over Brevard's Allison Kogoy by a 6-4, 3-6 (10-7) score.

In the remaining singles matches, Brevard won in straight sets.

In  doubles play, Brevard again swept the Falcons.  In the No. 1 match, the duo of Anna Branson and Gray fell 8-2 to Samantha Sege and Kogoy.  In the remaining doubles matches, Pfeiffer fell by identical 8-0 scores.


The Falcon women's team has concluded play in the fall and will return to the courts for spring play on Feb. 15 when they travel to Shaw University in Raleigh.
