Pfeiffer's Alonna Clouse Named USA South Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Misenheimer, N.C. (Oct. 1, 2018) – Pfeiffer freshman volleyball player Alonna Clouse has been tabbed as the USA South Rookie of the week the league has announced.
The outside hitter from Harrisburg, N.C. averaged 3.30 kills and 3.90 digs per set in USA South competition last week. Clouse posted a double-double with 12 kills and 14 digs against Methodist and followed that with a nine-kill, 12 dig outing against Averett. Against William Peace, she managed a double-double of 12 kills and 13 digs. She also had two assists and two aces against the Pacers.
On the season, Clouse has 163 kills, which ranks third in the USA South conference. She also stands second in total attacks (548) and kills per set (3.33).
Clouse and the Pfeiffer volleyball team will return to the court on Wednesday, Oct. 3 with a road match at Salem College. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
