Pfeiffer Volleyball Picked Eighth in USA South Preseason Poll

Misenheimer, N.C. (August 22, 2019) –
The Pfeiffer University volleyball team has been selected to finish eighth in the USA South East Division as the league released their 2019 Volleyball Preseason Poll.

The Falcons return all six starters from last season after finishing 9-18 overall and 5-11 in league play. All told, 10 returners and eight newcomers will make up the 2019 Pfeiffer volleyball team.
 
2018 regular season champion and tournament champion Meredith College was picked tops in the
East Division while Covenant was picked to finish on top in the West Division.

Sophomore Alonna Clouse (Harrisburg, N.C.) returns after earning USA South East Division Second Team honors in 2018.  Clouse led the Falcons with 353 kills and a 3.53 kills/set average.  She also had 349 digs on the year and 12 solo blocks.  Teammate Emma Gray Beacham (Laurinburg, N.C.) returns after leading the team in digs last season, as she managed 421, good for a 4.43 digs/set average.

The Falcons will begin their season on Friday, Aug. 30, hosting N.C. Wesleyan at 5:00 p.m. in Merner Gym.
