Pfeiffer's Reagan Wyatt Named USA South Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Misenheimer, N.C. (Oct. 14, 2019) – Pfeiffer University freshman volleyball player Reagan Wyatt has been tabbed as the USA South Rookie of the Week.
Wyatt, from Stoneville, N.C., averaged 4.25 kills, with a .358 hitting percentage, per set as the Falcons posted a 2-2 record last week.
In a 3-0 win over USA South foe Salem, Wyatt notched 15 kills, three blocks and two digs while in a 3-1 loss to Randolph, she posted a career-best 23 kills, three blocks and one dig.
This past weekend In a 3-1 win over USA South foe Mary Baldwin, Wyatt contributed 20 kills, four blocks and one dig and lastly, in a 3-2 loss to USA South foe N.C. Wesleyan, she amassed 10 kills, four digs and four blocks.
She is currently ranked fifth in league play in kills per set (3.17) and seventh in total kills with 222. She also ranks sixth in points per set (3.6) and eighth in total points (249.5).
In the 20 matches in which she has appeared, she has reached double-digit kills on 10 occasions. She also leads Pfeiffer in several categories including hitting percentage (.367), solo blocks (11), block assists (31), total blocks (42), and blocks per set (.60).
Wyatt and the rest of the Pfeiffer volleyball team will return to play on Saturday, Oct. 19 with a USA South Tri-Match hosted by Meredith College. The Falcons will take on the host Angels at Noon and will follow with a 2:00 p.m. match with Greensboro College.
