Pfeiffer's Reagan Wyatt Named ECAC Division III South Region Volleyball Rookie of the Month for October

Danbury, Conn. (Nov. 5, 2019) – Pfeiffer University freshman volleyball player Reagan Wyatt has been named the ECAC Division III South Division Rookie of the Month for October.

Wyatt, from Stoneville, N.C., picked up 138 kills for 3.07 kills per set on a .318 hitting percentage. Her month was highlighted by a run of three games where she posted 20 or more kills, resulting in a USA South Rookie of the Week honor on Oct. 14.

She finished her initial campaign with the Falcons with 265 kills and a .340 hitting percentage.  She also worked well defensively at the net, harboring 52 total blocks, 14 of which were of the solo variety.

Her finest stretch of the season came on Oct. 11 and 12 where she had 23 kills in a nonconference match against Randolph and followed that with a 20 kill performance in a 3-1 win at Mary Baldwin.

All told, she managed double-figure kills in 12 of the 26 matches in which she played.

She currently stands in second-place in hitting percentage in the league's statistical rankings and is also eighth in kills/set (2.94)

Wyatt was a big part of a landmark season for the Falcons, as the team finished with a 14-14 overall record, the best mark for the program since the 2009 season.
