Pfeiffer's Alyson Hanlon Named ECAC South Region Rookie Runner of the Month for September
Danbury, Conn. (Oct. 3, 2019) – Pfeiffer University women's cross country runner Alyson Hanlon has been tabbed as the ECAC Division III South Region Rookie Runner of the Month for September.
Hanlon, from Summerfield, N.C., has started her collegiate career with a bang, leading the Falcons in each of the first three races this season.
In her first collegiate outing, Hanlon paced the Falcons with an 8th-place finish at the Pfeiffer Dual, completing the 5K course in 24:01.
She continued to improve her times, this time with a 22:45.4 showing at the Division II heavy Fleet Feet Invitational hosted by Catawba College on Sept. 7.
In her most recent outing, she finished second among Division III runners and 12th overall at the Greensboro Invitational on Sept. 28. She finished the Hagan Stone Park 5K course with a collegiate best time of 22:39.8.
Hanlon and the Falcons will return to run in the Livingstone Invitational on Oct. 11 at 4:00 p.m. in Salisbury, N.C.
