BLUEFIELD, WV -- Senior guard Andrew Guerrero scored 28 points and now sits just 13 points shy of 1,000 for his career as he led Pfeiffer (8-1) to a 112-79 victory at Bluefield St. (1-11) on Friday afternoon. Guerrero was nearly perfect, hitting 10-of-12 shots on the night, including a 5-for-6 mark from the three point line.

Pfeiffer bounced back from their first loss of the season in a convincing fashion this afternoon with a 33-point blowout victory. Keith Jumper added 12 points on 5-for-5 shooting and has now shot above 75 percent from the field in six of his last seven contests.

Mike Smith and A.J. Clark each chipped in 13 points in the victory with Clark adding eight assists, six rebounds and three steals. 

Bluefield St. saw their four point lead evaporate at the 12:29 mark of the first half and the Falcons never looked back. Pfeiffer pushed the lead to as high as 41 points before winning by 33, their fourth victory of more than 30 points on the season.

The Falcons buried a season-high 19 3-pointers on the afternoon. After shooting just 24 percent from long range in their past two games, Pfeiffer converted 52.8 percent from downtown against Bluefield St.

Defensively, Pfeiffer had 20 steals and forced Bluefield St. into 28 turnovers. The Falcons scored 33 points off those turnovers and had a +14 turnover differential on the game.

Marcus Richardson led Bluefield St. with 18 points in the non-conference matchup. He was the only player to score in double figures for the hosts.

The Falcons return to action on January 3 as they play at home for the first time in a month. Pfeiffer is set to host Conference Carolinas foe Erskine at 7:30 p.m. inside Merner Gym. The Flying Fleet swept the season series last year but sit just 5-6 so far this season.
