Pfeiffer's Doug Smith Earns NABC and D3Hoops.com All-Region Honors

Misenheimer, N.C. (March 18, 2026) – Pfeiffer University's Doug Smith was named Second Team All-Region by the both the NABC and by D3Hoops.com.

Smith earned the honors after finishing as the USA South Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year this past season. 

Over the course of the 2025-26 season, Smith shot 65.1% from the field, which is the fifth-best single-season effort in program history.  He also brought down 244 rebounds and had 73 blocks, which is also the fifth-best single-season tally in Pfeiffer history.

In addition to his career marks, Smith managed a USA South-leading 13 double-doubles this season and had a triple-double (14 points, 13 rebounds, 10 blocks) against rival Greensboro on Jan. 17.
