MISENHEIMER, N.C – In the final game of the 2017 Falcon Classic, the Pfeiffer women's volleyball team fell to the Brevard Tornados, 3-0. Erin Errington led the Falcons with eight kills and tied for a team-high six digs.
After getting behind by the largest mark of six points in set two, the Falcons were able to cut the lead back down to two at 22-20 with the help of kills of Kaylee Freed, Sam Smith and Sydney Freeman. The Tornados were to finish off set with two consecutive kills and one ace.
The Tornados out hit Pfeiffer in all three sets but in set three they hit a torrid .526. Brevard had four players with five or more kills: Hannah Elmore, Stephanie Lambert, Whitney Demoss, and Rachel Ruble.
Pfeiffer's Errington was selected to the All-Tournament team. Smith and Erin Currigan were tied with a team-high six digs in the game.
Pfeiffer returns to action on Saturday as they travel to Greenboro for a trii-match at Guilford College against Guilford and John Wesley.
