Box Score Pfeiffer Volleyball Falls in Road Matchup at Ferrum
Ferrum, Va. (Oct.9, 2018) – The Pfeiffer University volleyball team got eight kills each from Bri Weber and Alonna Clouse in a 3-0 (18-25, 19-25, 13-25) nonconference defeat at Ferrum.
In the first set, the Falcons were limited to a negative hitting percentage (-.047) in making just eight kills to 10 errors. In set two, Pfeiffer managed just a .114 percentage.
Clouse, the two-time reigning USA South rookie of the week managed just a .088 attacking percentage on the match while Weber had eight kills on 30 attemps for a .133.
Defensively, Emma Gray Beacham, the USA South Defensive Player of the week had 13 digs while Clouse had a team-leading 14 in the loss.
The Falcons now stand at 7-11 on the season while Ferrum improves to 8-10.
Pfeiffer will return to the court on Friday, Oct.12 when they play host to Belmont Abbey at 7:00 p.m. at Merner Gym.
