Box Score ELIZABETH CITY, NC -- The Pfeiffer women's basketball team (18-3) totally dominated Mid Atlantic Christian on Tuesday evening, winning by a final score of 91-50. Sydni Bickford led all players with 27 points as the junior buried seven 3-pointers.
Brina Bentley scored a career-high 17 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field. Grayson Harris once again dominated down low as the junior center tallied a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds and added seven blocked shots. Senior point guard Dajea Scott notched 10 assists for Pfeiffer who held a massive 67-44 advantage on the boards.
The Falcons shot 40 percent from the field and held the Mustangs to just 20.8 percent shooting. Pfeiffer also held a big advantage in second chance points, outscoring the Mustangs 21-6 in that category.
Pfeiffer's bench outscored Mid Atlantic Christian's reserves 28-2 on the night.
The first quarter was competitive with Pfeiffer holding a slim 21-16 advantage after 10 minutes of play. However, the Falcons outplayed the Mustangs in the second quarter and outscored the hosts 25-10 to take a 46-26 lead into the break.
The Falcons put the game away in the fourth quarter thanks to a 26-2 run to close out the game.
The Mustangs never led in the contest.
The win is Pfeiffer's fifth straight victory and 18th of the season. With three games left to play, the Falcons have a good chance of reaching the 20-win mark on the season.
The Falcons return to action on Saturday afternoon as they host Brevard at 3:30 p.m. Prior to the game, the Falcons will recognize their five seniors.
