Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Centerfielder Chandler Walker became the all-time leader in hits as the Falcons (22-2) swept Brevard (5-7) on Thursday afternoon at Jack Ingram Field. Walker, who wears number 11, helped the Falcons extend their winning streak to 11 in a row.

Walker broke the previous mark of 179 career hits that was held by Hall of Famer Dacia Ijames. Ijames record had stood since 2008 before Walker beat out an infield single to give her 180 career knocks.

Walker came into play needing a pair of hits to top the mark and got one hit in game one, a 4-0 win for the Falcons. In her final at-bat of the day, the senior legged out an infield hit to short for the record breaker.

For her career, Walker owns a .324 batting average, including a 369 mark in her senior season. Walker's 180 career hits come in 183 career games played.

Kiana Millsaps was the pitching star today, as the junior improved to 14-2 by tossing a complete game shutout. Millsaps allowed just three hits and one walk to go with eight strikeouts and 57 of her 83 pitches in the game were strikes.

Pfeiffer slugged its way to a sweep with a 9-0 win in five innings in game two. Vada Blue Sherrill scored a pair of runs and reached base safely three times. Sara Brown drove in a pair of runs and Stephanie Fortner, Makenzie Pennell, Kari Westerbeek, Bailey Sherrill and Amanda Sports all had one RBI apiece.

The Falcons struck for four runs in the bottom of the first and never looked back.

Kennedy Lester earned her eighth win of the year by allowing just one hit in four shutout innings. Kyndle Wallace pitched the final inning for Pfeiffer.

The Falcons return to action on Friday when they host Mary Baldwin for Senior Day. Game one starts at 2 p.m. with game two starting at 4 p.m. and the senior day ceremony following the games.
